My Kite Bag

Hi

I took up kiting about 18 months ago when I bought a 'big boys' kite (a flexi Erazor stunt kite), basically just to give myself something different to do.

For some unknown reason ("if you fly there, they will come"??) I choose the Heath as a flying area and had quite a good time flying the Erazor & feeling the awesome pull - but it got to the stage that I would only take the kite out if the winds were 30mph+ coz it was too boring otherwise.

So, I was the man, I had a h00j kite & could fly it & land it and do all sorts of pwetty twiks - then, I saw someone flying something that looked like a parachute and I suddenly lost interest in my stunter.

Twas about that time (Feb. last year) that I also discovered the Flexi forums and started looking for a kite that would suit my size (a blade 3m was my target at the time).

After fiddling bout £300 out of the company I worked for at the time, by selling a load of pallets (hehehehe), I went mad & bought myself the trusty 6.4m Blade2.

Since then I've been hospitalised by it 3 times (suspected broken arm, broken ribs & a night following the last escapade with a suspected hernia) and of course I've also suffered loads of cuts bruises and other mishaps just like everyone else - but I still can't wipe the smile off my face & will still fly it in silly winds coz of the buzzzz.

I'm presently trying to figure out how to grab £500 of my redundancy money to get myself a 10.5m Blade3 WITHOUT THE MISSUS NOTICING..........
