I was invited by Canker aka Roy to join him on Royston Heath to fly a kite. Normal reaction, it's only a kite, you know a little thing that usually falls apart, but I had been hearing all his stories and it sounded like fun.

Anyway, not what I had expected, not little and the first time you take hold of the lines and it pulls you are gob smacked, first thing I remember thinking is, what happens in a strong wind! To say I was hooked from the first go would not be far off, but I was good, waited for the right kite and asked a few question before going out and getting one.

I now have a 3m Flexifoil Viper kite and have great fun both flying it and introducing new people to the world of kiting, most are the same as I was with 'Yeah, Yeah, it's only a kite..!!'
