My Kite Bag

Hi

My kite flying career began in 1991 on my 16th birthday when I treated myself to a Flexifoil Stacker 6, regular visits to the local heath meant making new friends with the same kite and is was not long before we worked out why they where called stackers!!

Being totally hooked on this new sport I was keen to get more Stacker 6 kites of my own and for Christmas the same year I brought nine more making a stack of ten in total, to this day I still have the stack which has now grown to 12, but with the introduction of the four line foils it rarely comes out.

After my stack of Flexi’s I brought several other kites, North Shore Radical, Team Powerhouse, Pro-cheetah, Flexifoil Stranger (all delta kites) and a tricky little thing called a Revolution II.

I then became a regular face at the Royston annual Kite Festival and won best individual display in 1993

In 2000 I brought my first four line Para foil kite and discovered the immense power that can be gained from a single kite, since then all my two line stunt kites have remained neatly packed away coming out only on special occasions whilst my 3.0m Samurai, 4.5m Q-Pro and 6.5m Blade IV gets used on a regular basis.

Today new work commitments mean I don’t get out as much as I would like, but if the weather is right and I have a bit of spare time you know where to find me.
